Biography
Big-eyed beauty Adelina Gizatullina most often plays the beloved of the main hero or young women with tragic fates. In addition to her work in film and television, she spent many years at the Vakhtangov Theatre, where she performed a number of leading roles. The actress strives to break stereotypes and create meaningful work, describing herself as a courageous person who feels fear but acts anyway.
Childhood and Youth
Adelina was born on July 5, 1991, in Srednekolymsk, a tiny town in Yakutia that, at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries, was a traditional place of exile. However, she did not stay long in this small, harsh town: her family moved frequently due to her father’s military service.
The Gizatullina family is of Tatar ethnicity. Her father, Rinat Rashitovich, was a military officer, and her mother, Zinfira Rifovna, was a doctor. Her parents were concerned about Adelina’s health, as she appeared fragile and delicate, a condition aggravated by the cold climate and lack of sunlight and fresh fruit.
Before settling in Moscow, the family lived in Magadan and Tiksi, where Adelina began studying classical dance. The thin, high-spirited girl with large expressive eyes seemed destined to be a ballerina, but she had to give up her dreams of dancing at the age of 12 after sustaining a serious injury from a fall.
At 15, Adelina enrolled in a school with a theatrical focus. After graduation, she applied to the Shchepkin Theatre School. Her entrance exams were not easy: the admissions committee repeatedly hesitated, unsure whether her type would suit Russian theatre. Eventually, she was accepted and joined Viktor Korshunov’s course. At first, she doubted her choice of profession, but by her third year, she was certain that acting was her true calling. By the time she graduated, Adelina had already gained experience in films and TV series and was invited to perform in all of the school’s diploma productions — an opportunity that is rarely given.
Theatre Career
Adelina began her professional stage career at Mark Zakharov’s Lenkom Theatre. During this period, she also formed a circle of like-minded colleagues with whom she began creating original productions in which she played leading roles. The first of these, Miss Nobody from Alabama, premiered in 2014 and was added to the repertoire of the Vakhtangov Theatre, whose troupe Adelina soon joined.
At the Vakhtangov Theatre, other bold and creative productions followed. In 2018, she appeared to the public for the first time as the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in the play Frida. Life in Color. A year later, she portrayed another world-famous figure: in the drama Nijinsky. The Mad Genius, based on Nika Simonova’s play Dance of the Sun, Adelina played Vaslav Nijinsky, one of the most enigmatic dancers in the history of world ballet.
The three aforementioned productions, which Adelina created together with her team of like-minded collaborators, she calls her “children.” However, Gizatullina’s theatrical career was far from limited to these works. Her repertoire also includes the role of Tatyana in Heavenly Wanderers, Betsy Tverskaya in Anna Karenina, and Anitra in Peer Gynt. In addition, she performed as Joan of Arc in the solo play Voices of Jeanne at the Nikindom Theatre.
In the summer of 2023, representatives of the Vakhtangov Theatre announced that Gizatullina had decided to leave the troupe to pursue other creative projects. The productions Frida. Life in Color and Nijinsky. The Mad Genius, in which she had shone in leading roles, were performed for the last time.

Adelina began appearing on screen in the early 2010s. The most notable projects of that period include the war film Target in Sight, in which she played the cadet-sniper Mukha, and the series Marry Pushkin, where she portrayed the maid Dusya. Her other early roles were generally minor or supporting parts.
Among Adelina Gizatullina’s first major roles was Leila Rizaeva in the eight-episode melodrama Cannot Forgive, Cannot Part, which centers on the professional and personal life of the talented surgeon Igor Kalinin. Played by Alexey Morozov, he treats Adelina’s character, whose illness is accompanied by a host of other challenges.
In 2019, the film Wild League premiered, set against the backdrop of early 20th-century Russia. In this inspiring story about the pioneers of Russian football, Vladimir Yaglych played the lead, and Adelina portrayed his on-screen love interest. Her other co-stars included Ivan Okhlobystin, Dmitry Nazarov, and Olesya Sudzilovskaya.

Personal life
Adelina considers the birth of her child to be her greatest achievement. Her daughter Pavla was born in 2016 during her marriage to Dmitry Golubenko. Motherhood has been a profound source of joy and inspiration for the actress, while the marriage itself eventually ended in divorce.
Adelina Gizatullina enjoys reading biographies of famous personalities and lives of saints, and she has a keen interest in the history of religions and Vedic astrology. She lives in a constant state of self-development, always seizing opportunities to learn something new. She studies English, is learning to play the guitar, sings, and dances.
Adelina shares photos and news on her social media accounts. She also runs a YouTube channel, where she reads bedtime stories with her daughter Pavlusha. She devotes herself to home and family one hundred percent, despite her passionate dedication to her profession. Currently, Adelina is developing not only as an actress but also as a director. She became a student at a Film School in Moscow. On her VKontakte page, she posts remade scenes from well-known films that she has directed herself, including Eyes Wide Shut and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
A highlight of 2025 in Adelina’s screen career was the melodrama Ivan and Madina, aired on the “Domashny” channel, where she starred opposite Ilya Deniskin. Speaking about her character, Adelina described her as a highly creative person, noting that the character’s life story bears similarities to the actress’s own experiences.
