Adelina Gizatullina is a young theatre and film director working across a wide range of genres, from drama and thriller to eccentric comedy and melodrama.
In her work, she combines a vivid visual language with emotional expressiveness. Gizatullina skillfully interprets dramaturgy through actors’ movement, a charged use of space, and precise mise-en-scène. Her professional background as a ballerina and actress strongly informs her directing practice. Adelina Gizatullina is a graduate of Viktor Korshunov’s acting workshop at the Shchepkin Theatre School; she performed leading roles at the Vakhtangov Theatre and appeared in films.
Several years ago, Gizatullina began developing her directing career and in 2025 graduated from the Directing Department of the Moscow School of Cinema, where she studied under the mentorship of Aleksei Popogrebsky. Thanks to her unique artistic background, she works with actors in a distinctive way, skillfully combining a cinematic narrative structure with a strong visual language, and the composition of the frame with emotionally charged action. Her short films have already received awards at film festivals.
In addition to her fiction work, Adelina Gizatullina has experience in documentary filmmaking, where her attentive observation of characters reveals their inner worlds and personalities.
She is currently working on the production «I Created Audrey Hepburn», based on her own play. The performance is staged without sets or props, emphasizing the psychological depth of the dramaturgy.
