A new experimental production on the stage of the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow. The directorial and playwriting debut of Adelina Gizatullina.

“The story of the performance grows out of the difficult and contradictory relationship between Audrey Hepburn and her mother, Baroness Ella van Heemstra. The play is based on real facts from the life of the great actress, but at the center of the story is not Audrey herself, but the woman who stood behind her becoming.
What is true maternal love? Is it support or demand? Acceptance or the desire to reshape another person?
I ask these questions not as a researcher, but as a director searching for living truth in human relationships.
The world knows Audrey Hepburn as an actress, a style icon, and an Academy Award winner. But very few people know what she truly dreamed about. I am certain that this story will resonate not only with women. Men will also recognize themselves in these characters.”

The premiere took place on April 27, 2026.
