On April 27, the premiere of I Created Audrey Hepburn took place on the Studio Stage of the Vakhtangov Theatre.
Adeline Gizatullina’s play explores the complex relationship between the great actress and her mother. While the story is based on real facts from Audrey Hepburn’s biography, its focus is placed on the woman who shaped her becoming. What is true maternal love? Does it contain more support or demand, acceptance or the desire to reshape another person? In this production, playwright and director Adeline Gizatullina raises these questions, seeking to convey the living truth of human relationships.
