Viewers came to know this actress of the Vakhtangov Theatre after her performance as Malika in the film Wild League. The charming dark-eyed actress is most often cast as the beloved of the main character or as women with tragic destinies.
Adelina Gizatullina was born on July 5, 1991, in the small and harsh town of Srednekolymsk (Republic of Sakha / Yakutia), into a family of ethnic Tatars. Her mother was a doctor, and her father was a military officer. Due to her father’s service, the family frequently moved from place to place.
Before settling in Moscow, they lived in Magadan and Tiksi.
From an early age, Adelina seriously studied classical choreography. However, at the age of 12, after suffering a serious injury from a fall, she had to say goodbye to her dream of becoming a professional dancer.
Once, during a family trip to France, the girl fell in a bus and injured her spine, after which she was bedridden for two months and unable to stand up at all.
From the age of 15, Adelina studied at a school with a theatrical focus, having already decided to dedicate her future to the acting profession. After graduating, she became a student at the Shchepkin Theatre School, studying under Viktor Korshunov.
By her third year, she realized she had made the right choice and became fully convinced that acting was her true calling.
By the time she graduated, the young actress already had experience working in films and television series. Notably, in her graduation year she was invited to participate in all diploma performances — something very few students can boast of.
Gizatullina’s theatrical career began at Mark Zakharov’s Lenkom Theatre, where she appeared in productions such as Heavenly Wanderers, Peer Gynt, The Marriage of Figaro, and Juno and Avos.
However, in 2014 she joined the company of the Vakhtangov Theatre, where she embodied many vivid and memorable roles, including world-famous figures such as Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in Frida. Life in Color and Vaslav Nijinsky — one of the most enigmatic dancers in the history of ballet — in the drama Nijinsky. The Mad Genius.
In cinema, Gizatullina began acting in 2010, appearing as Rita in the project Love and Other Stupid Things.
Among her most significant early works, the actress highlights the war drama I See the Target, where she played the sniper cadet Gulya, and the series Marry Pushkin, in which she portrayed the maid Dusya. In the latter project, Adelina played a pregnant character while she herself was three months pregnant.
Her first leading role came in the eight-episode melodrama Forgive, Not Goodbye (2016), where she transformed into Leyla Rizaeva — a patient of the talented surgeon Igor Kalinin, played by Alexey Morozov. According to the plot, her character arrives in Moscow for treatment from Central Asia.
In 2019, the film Wild League premiered. The movie was shot in period settings recreating the early 20th century. On screen, Adelina’s heroine becomes the beloved of the character played by Vladimir Yaglych.
In the four-episode melodrama Ivan and Madina directed by Nikita Kononov, which the Domashny TV channel will broadcast on March 12, 2025, Gizatullina plays the main female role — Madina. The project tells the story of the children of sworn enemies who, even years later, have not lost hope for shared happiness.
At the center of the story is a love between a young couple who grew up in the same town but became truly close while studying at a Moscow institute. The lovers planned to marry, but their feuding families were hostile to their plans. The next time the characters meet is only ten years later. Ivan is now a successful lawyer, while Madina, who married another man, is raising a nine-year-old child who suspiciously resembles her first love. Will they be able to correct the mistakes of the past and find happiness after so many years? Viewers will find out by watching this gripping series.
“Madina is similar to me in that she tries to create beauty around her. She is very creative. And she is also very brave, sometimes even daring. It’s hard for me to say how we differ. In some ways, this story repeats the scenario of my own life,” Gizatullina said.
Among other projects featuring the actress are Angelova Doll, Dark World: Balance, Happiness Is…, Not Together, Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes, Marlen, Doctor Preobrazhensky. New Episodes, Sergeant, and Miracle Doctor.
The 33-year-old actress considers not only her greatest achievement but also the meaning of her life to be her daughter Pavla, who was born in her marriage to Dmitry Golubenko in 2016.
Immersing herself in motherhood, Adelina experienced immense happiness.
However, sadly, the family could not be preserved, and in 2020 her marriage to Dmitry ended in divorce.
Despite her passionate devotion to her profession, Gizatullina is actively engaged in self-development beyond acting: she sings and dances, studies English, and is learning to play the guitar. She enjoys reading Lives of the Saints, is interested in the history of religions and Vedic astrology.
In addition, she runs a YouTube channel where, together with her daughter — her main source of inspiration — she reads bedtime fairy tales.
